Techniques to help you make great slide shows
Digital audio visual is becoming more and more popular and ProShow Gold is one of the programs that allows us to spread our wings a bit and get creative while making them.
Usually, it is not too long after we discover digital audio visual that we want to push the boundaries a bit to make our slide show stand out from the crowd.
The techniques we can use are almost endless, but as long as we make sure that the techniques are in keeping with the style of slide show we are creating we will go from strength to strength.
This DVD has been recorded at high resolution and runs for almost 4 hours.

The videos on this DVD are designed to run in their own player software that is incorporated in the menu structure. You just click the video you want to see and the video will automatically open up in the correct player software.

How do we create the right sized images at the correct resolution quickly and easily. Here we use Photoshop to explain the techniques, but Elements can be used in exactly the same way.
We demonstrate how to retain format, size and resolution allowing us, the author to determine exactly what the viewer sees in our show.

Here we demonstrate how to create your own actions, save them and use them creatively and effectively in the making of your slide shows.

There are times when we don't want to fill the screen with our slide show images and landscapes are a good example of this.
If we try and do so we must crop some of the landscape from the width to make it fit the screen.
It is not always desirable to do that, so here we demonstrate how to go about retaining any format we wish to use in our slide shows.

Here we demonstrate how we put the slide show together using the Record Slide Timing option within ProShow Gold.
It is essential to use this method of controlling the transition style, the length of the transition and how long each image remains on screen while listening to the music.
We can react and change slides to match that music perfectly and if we get it wrong, we can stop, go back a slide or two and pick up the programming from that point.

From Monochrome to Colour 10:57 Minutes
A gradual transition from a sparkling monochrome image into an identical one in colour is dramatic on screen, but not so easy to achieve. Rarely can we simply remove the colour from a colour image and find ourselves with a good monochrome.
They almost always need some tweaks from us to achieve good results. Here we look at a couple of ways of going about this and compare the two.

ProShow Gold is really great at creating live text on any image and animating that test as well. However, there are other options that we can use if we turn to our image editing software.

Here we demonstrate some neat effects using layers and layer styles to create opening titles and end credits with impact.

The techniques to create picture in picture are essential if we want to use our portrait format images within our slide shows.
The constant mixing of landscape and portrait format within our slide shows generally destroy the very thing we are trying to create.
That is a smooth blend of images and sound that when combined together enhances both the music and the images.That is not likely to happen when the images are constantly changing from one format to another.
Here we take you through this process in detail and it is the same for both Photoshop and Elements users.

We create a great shadow effect that makes our images appear to be behind the mount, We use colour from the image and textures to create something unique.
